About the Foundation
Our mission is to establish a Masjid — a place of worship and community services — that fosters unity and builds a compassionate, cohesive society through partnerships with local organisations and government agencies.
In addition, the Masjid and Centre will serve as a Da’wah hub – a welcoming place to share the message of Islam with wisdom and respect, promote mutual understanding, and invite others to learn about the beauty of our faith.
As a non-for-profit organisation, and as part of our affiliation with the Council of Imams Tasmania and the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC), we are committed to providing Islamic education grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah — nurturing faith, knowledge, and values that will benefit generations to come.

وعن النعمان بن بشير رضي الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " مثل المؤمنين في توادهم وتراحمهم وتعاطفهم، مثل الجسد إذا اشتكى منه عضو تداعى له سائر الجسد بالسهر والحمى” ((متفق عليه)) .
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever". [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The House of Guidance Hobart- MISC is a new organisation currently in the process of being registered with the ACNC as a not-for-profit organisation, established by motivated Muslims dedicated to serving their community.
We are officially and proudly partnering with Human Appeal International Australia, as well as The House of Guidance in Launceston, affiliated with The Council of Imams Tasmania and working closely with its President.
MISC is also officially affiliated with the Australian National Imams Council (ANIC), ensuring that our work remains connected to the broader Muslim community across the state, the nation, and beyond.
